Management Committee of the Armed Forces Flag Day Fund

The Managing Committee of Armed Forces Flag Day Fund is the apex body of the Department of Sainik Welfare, which formulates policies for resettlement, rehabilitation and welfare of ex-servicemen and their families. The composition of the Managing Committee is:-

Chairman : Hon'ble Chief Minister, Puducherry UT

Vice-Chairman : Hon'ble Minister (Sainik Welfare), Puducherry

Official Members: 

1.    Chief Secretary to Government, Puducherry.
2.    Secretary to Government (Sainik Welfare), Puducherry.
3.    GOC-in-C Southern Command HQ ATNK and K Area, Chennai or his representative.
4.    Director-General of Police, Puducherry.
5.    Collector, Puducherry.
6.     Collector, Karaikal.
7.     Additional/Joint/Deputy/Under Secretary (Home), Puducherry.

Non-official members : 

           Four Ex-servicemen having interest in the Welfare of the Ex-servicemen nominated by the Government of Puducherry from Puducherry/Karaikal/Mahe/Yanam regions.

          Two prominent citizens, Ex-service Officer residing in the Union Territory of Puducherry nominated by Governement of Puducherry

       DESW, MoD, New Delhi.

       Ex-servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS),
       Central Organisation ECHS, Delhi Cantt-110 010.

7.    Employment Officer, Puducherry.
